This holiday season, many of my baking recipes have combined chocolate and peppermint. I find they are the perfect flavor blend for the weeks in December. Using my Peppermint Vitality Oil from Young Living, I simply add 2 or 3 drops to my chocolate batter to instantly add that cooling minty flavor.

I decided to do this one last time for the season on New Year’s Eve for an appetizer and dessert party with friends. Across town, one family hosts and between adults and kids, over 50 people gathered to ring in 2020. So much fun!! My dessert was a platter of peppermint brownie bites. I used my favorite brownie batter and poured it over a Mint Hershey Kiss in a mini cupcake pan. I topped it with crushed peppermint candy melts. Lots of layers of mint here to pop into your mouth!

Ingredients and supplies:
- Bag of Mint Hershey Kisses
- Favorite brownie recipe
- Mini cupcake wrappers and pans
- Peppermint Vitality Oil from Young Living
- Crushed peppermint candies (optional)
Instructions:
- Line the baking pans with the cupcake wrappers
- Unwrap Hershey Kisses and place one in each cupcake wrapper
- Prepare brownie batter according to the recipe. Once mixed, add 2 to 3 drops of Peppermint Vitality Oil.
- Pour batter over each Kiss until the cupcake wrapper is about 3/4 the way full.
- Bake according to the brownie recipe’s directions. However, you will need to decrease the baking time because the mini pans take less time than the regular brownie pans. Just keep watching them closely!
- Remove the pans from the oven once done baking and then top with the crushed peppermint candy. The heat from the brownies will melt them on top.
- Remove cupcake brownies from the pans and allow to cool completely.
