Recent health threats of a new virus have caused Americans to stockpile toilet paper and cleaning supplies. On a recent trip to Target, the toilet paper was well stocked, but the shelves of disinfecting wipes were left bare. The store was also wiped clean of hand sanitizer.

Recently I had made my own batch of wipes at home with my Thieves cleaner, unbeknownst to me that this virus was on its way. I have mentioned Thieves before in a previous post: it is an essential oil blend (clove, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus, and rosemary) that is the base of the cleaning line from Young Living and includes products such as hand soap, hand sanitizer, all-purpose cleaner, and laundry detergent, just to name a few. These and all the products featuring Thieves essential oil that are offered can be viewed on their website.

I love my Thieves all-purpose cleaner because of it’s versatility as a base in other “recipes” for my home.
Sewing has been a hobby of mine for a while now. But there are always scraps of fabric left behind from projects, and it feels wasteful to throw them away. They seem to multiply in my craft room so I am always seeking creative uses for them.

For this project, I cut rectangles out of the remainder of a charcoal gray knit fabric that I think I used in making a pair of lounge wear comfy pants.

I rolled each piece of fabric and placed in a 32 ounce mason jar. I filled the jar of fabric with water and added Thieves cleaner. The ratio is one capful of Thieves to 2 cups of water. After capping the lid, I gently shook the jar to mix the cleaner with the water.

Now I can just grab a wipe and go about my cleaning. I rewash the fabric to use in another batch of wipes.
