Clinging to Summer

Late summer days at the beginning of September have their own vibe. I feel drawn to more earthy, warm, and woodsy scents. I found this graphic for National Park diffuser blends on the Lifesteps app.

I choose to make my own scented sprays from natural essential oils. It’s so easy and fun! Regular store bought perfumes, body sprays, and lotions contain too many chemicals for me and cause skin irritation, respiratory issues, and other problems.

I had several of these 3ml mini spray bottles. And I made myself a mini perfume collection! I changed a few of the ratios slightly, but I used only about 6 drops total of essential oils in each bottle. I added a splash of vodka and filled the remainder with water. The alcohol helps the water and oils to mix better. Witch hazel can be used in place of the alcohol.

Here we go! Add a few drops of vodka to each spray bottle.

Next, add in the drops of essential oil to make each combination.

Top the bottle with water until about 3/4 full.

Screw on the sprayer tops.

Now you have beautiful collection of essential oil perfumes!

*Note: I did not make the Glacier combination into a spray because I was out of Jade Lemon! However, Grapefruit is one of my favorite oils so I think it would be an amazing scent!
