Young Living Essential Oils are great for cooking! Their Vitality Line provides a more intense flavor than dried herbs purchased at the grocery store. The essential oils always have a fresh taste that brightens up your dishes. Dried herbs in those little bottles have a tendency to go flat over time.

This salad features cumin and black pepper essential oils. I don’t think I would diffuse cumin! But I love flavoring food with it! Black pepper is featured in some diffuser blends created for the nervous system, emotional balance, and support of the 1st chakra. It isn’t one I normally use for aromatic blends, but I do love black pepper essential oil for cooking.

Chickpea and raisin salad is a recipe that I normally make during the warmer months. It is perfect for a light lunch or a side dish at a cookout. We gathered with my husband’s family after Thanksgiving this year. Everyone was looking for a simpler meal, so we had platters to create your own sandwiches with picnic side dishes such as potato salad. It was a great way to end the holiday weekend!
