Green(brain)washing

This is greenwashing.

It’s the laundry aisle of a big box store. Every specialized cleaning product has its greenwashed shelf.

What is green washing? It’s the companies’ way to market products that appear to be more natural, less toxic, and more positive for the environment than they actually are. Consumers are drawn to their earthy labels. Because of this attraction, businesses are able to charge 20% more if the cleaning products look natural.

It’s easy to spot the common cleaning products with harmful ingredients in our homes, but now we have to be aware of the falsely marketed ones too?
