Ok, ok, not going to lie. I admit that I do like at times like the fake flavored coffee creamers from the grocery store. I happen to indulge in them more when I’m working night shift. And they’re super convenient. In a tired moment of weakness, it’s easy to ignore an ingredient list, and I’ve already convinced myself that it’s just one tablespoon LOL.
But then I get 1/3 to 1/2 way through the bottle, and I’m done with it. My palate has been oversaturated with globules of junk.
I recently made a little container of my own. This version is unsweetened, but you can add in your favorite liquid sweetener if you prefer. Maple syrup, honey, agave nectar–anyone will be fine–just incorporate it right into the blender with the other ingredients.
Also, this is a dairy free version. I think this would be great to use with just plain dairy creamer, too. Just swap out the coconut milk to replace with the dairy creamer.
I chose to use the canned coconut milk because it has a thicker consistency than coconut milk/almond milk/oat milk from a carton. Again, this is preference!
